Frame Relay/HDLC WAN Design and Management
Over the years, MAI has built dozens of high-end WANs for our customers, with a strong focus on providing management and visibility into what is normally the least visible component of the network: the Frame Relay circuit itself. MAI's unique blend of management tools, coupled with years of experience, makes us ideal partners in designing and managing a terrestrial solution, whether for retail, enterprise, or government use.

Satellite, VSAT and Wireless Implementations
Often, in the design of the enterprise WAN, it becomes clear that a fully terrestrial solution may not meet the needs of the customer. MAI, with extensive VSAT and wireless experience, can augment traditional land-based solutions with VSAT circuits, and has even built whole WANs using VSAT and wireless technologies, with a firm grasp on the benefits they provide and the unique challenges they pose.

Intranets and Extranets
MAI can design and manage the entire data infrastructure for the customer, with an eye towards enhancing functionality, speed, simplicity and ease of data access for the end user. This focus on the end user is the way we approach the dissemination and access of data, and ensures successful deployments.

Internet
MAI currently manages many Internet circuits for various customers, all with an enhanced focus on security, reliability and ROI. Using state-of-the-art tools and experienced personnel, Internet issues can often be avoided or minimized before they even become apparent to the end-user.

E-business
The IT world has realized that the E-business server is not just a device that handles orders, but rather that it is often the main interface the outside world has into an organization, and potentially is its weakest link. Virtually any request for information that requires security or an exchange of information requires the specialized attention MAI has been performing for years. Organizations that ignore this aspect of the new IT infrastructure do so at their own peril.

Video Conferencing, Distance Learning and Telephony
As more data resources are rolled out to various sites, the IT world has consolidated voice and video traffic onto the data network infrastructure. MAI, already well versed on data networking, began garnering expertise in telephony years ago, with an emphasis on distance learning and video conferencing. MAI has designed several networks incorporating Data, Voice and Video, and continues to manage them to this day.

Security
MAI has had an eye on security long before the events of September 11th encouraged sharper focus on this area. Realizing that physical security is a critical component of network security, MAI has used a holistic approach to the issue, probing for all weaknesses (not just looking at the Internet connectivity) and examining past incidents for clues as to new directions. MAI has worked with the top leaders in the industry, many of whom set industry trends and standards, to ensure that the customer's data is always protected, and always safe from harm.


Web Support & Development
MAI has had several years of experience creating, monitoring and maintaining web presence for customers. Web-enabled applications are now critical to the success of many programs, and MAI's development team can build solutions from the ground up, as well as update or maintain older or legacy systems.

Preventative Maintenance Activities, Remedial Repairs and Record-Keeping
MAI's technical team has extensive Preventative Maintenance (PM) experience on nearly any type of networking hardware in the field. From simple cleaning and firmware upgrades to entire renovations, our expert teams and robust policies and procedures ensure success from the start. Emergency repairs are handled by experts, with an emphasis on restoring uptime and minimizing productivity loss. To make this happen, MAI has several levels of maintenance, from yearly product updates to 2 hour on-site response, all designed to ensure that the products serviced are kept in the utmost condition and repaired promptly. All maintenance or repair records are maintained in the MARS (MAI Action Request System) databases for further analysis by either MAI or the customer via a simple web-based GUI.
